Vertex is looking for an Inclusion, Diversity & Equity practitioner to join our organization to help develop and implement best-in-class, game-changing programs and solutions that enable Vertex to educate, recruit, engage, retain, and develop a diverse pipeline of talent around the globe. This position will provide support and direction for our employee resource networks globally.
This role will be hybrid based in based in Boston and may require travel up to 30%.
Successful candidates will have:
Program and Project Management experience - designing, managing and delivering innovative ID&E programs;
Facilitation skills, particularly around complex issues of social identity, racial equity, insider & outsider dynamics and inclusion;
Demonstrated ability to translate best practices and research into tangible, pragmatic outcomes underpinned by metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs); and
Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills to embed ID&E principles throughout the organization
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary champion and supporter for ERN (Employee Resource Network) sponsors and chairs, providing guidance, resources, and connections to ensure comprehension of, and enable strategic alignment with, our ID&E strategic priorities and goals
Work closely with ERN sponsors and chairs to ensure adherence to a newly established governance model
Partner with ERN sponsors and chairs to support operational excellence, including annual strategic planning and budgeting
Facilitate our ERN Advisory Committee, identifying and addressing common needs across ERNs, sharing leading practices, and garnering feedback and input on our ID&E strategy and priorities
Support ERNs as they identify and build external partnerships that advance ERN strategy and objectives
Partner with enabling business teams and functions including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Corporate Responsibility, Grants, and Communications to collaborate on how ERNs can most effectively support initiatives focused on talent development, recruitment, community engagement, etc.
Evaluate requests to form new ERNs and then support the launch of new ERNs globally
Identify trends, best practices, opportunities and successes relating to ERNs globally and communicate them internally, serving as a subject matter expert on how ERNs can continually increase efficiency and impact
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires 4 years of progressive business experience
Experience leading, supporting or mobilizing employee networks (or similar business-related diversity task forces)
Global mindset, with experience leading global initiatives or projects
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, functions, cultures, and geographies
Exceptional project and program management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and to prioritize effectively
Ability to translate best practices and research into tangible, pragmatic outcomes underpinned by metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Team player with excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
We're enabling flexibility and choice between individuals and their managers to maintain our strong culture of collaboration and ensure a daily vibrancy within our sites globally. In this Hybrid or On-Site-Eligible role, you can choose to work:
1.Hybrid and work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.On-Site and work 5 days per week with ad hoc flexibility.
