Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in education, social science, human services or a closely-related field and at least one year of experience successfully working with at-risk youth from diverse populations in a school or community agency setting;

or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.

General Summary of Job:

This position promotes District No. 709 vision and strategic plans through integrating relevant multi-cultural learning experiences for students.

Advocates for the successful achievement and development of protected students throughout the District.

Contributes to staff training, community partnerships, academic success of students, including cultural curriculum, peer mediation, and specific integration experiences that benefit instruction and learning.

Works with students, staff and parents to provide a smooth transition and educational support as eligible students transition through all grade levels.

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes. Direct reports include individual contributors and supervisory roles. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Reporting to the Director of Avionics & Electrical Engineering, the Manager of Electrical Systems Engineering is responsible for the leading the engineering team tasked with design, testing, certification, and ongoing engineering support of all aspects of aircraft electrical systems. Technical areas include power generation and storage, power distribution, wire harness design, integration with mechanical and avionics systems, circuit design, and electromagnetic effects/radiated field analysis. You will influence electrical system design direction and methodologies, ensuring consistent and appropriate designs and engineering processes are utilized across all Cirrus projects, driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective system designs. You will review and guide creation of certification plans and reports to meet 14 CFR Part 23 requirements in accordance with established Cirrus processes. The Manager of Electrical Systems is responsible for progression and coaching of less experienced engineers, resource allocation, staffing, and performance reviews. This individual supports the Director of A&E with budget planning and control, resource/project planning, and maintaining awareness of key deliverables and schedule milestones. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of fostering individual engagement and initiative, driving improvements to engineering process, and implementing design methodologies resulting in superior technical design and enhanced team productivity.
