32.5 hours per week/38 weeks per year


  • Friday, 8:30 am

  • 3:30 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience as a teacher's assistant in a teaching environment in or outside a school system or related childcare work
60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of college or a passing score on the parapro assessment

Desirable Qualifications:

Ability to work cooperatively with children and adults

Ability to effectively communicate with, and establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, staff and community

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to observe and record accurately

Ability to understand and accurately correct student assignments

Ability to meet federal/state guidelines (where appropriate) and/or to successfully complete specified in-service courses

Demonstrated ability to work positively with students with disabilities and under the supervision of a special education teacher

  • Special Education Building Wide positions - can be assigned to work anywhere in the school/site building at the discretion of the principal. These positions are not specific to a program or a particular room. The para can be moved by the principal at anytime during the day or school year.

Responsibilities: This is a field position that reports to our Field Service Supervisor. Although you are in the field you will maintain constant contact with your Supervisor, and other Technicians. We work mostly at customer sites, but always work together as a team. 95% of the travel is within 2 hours of your home office and does not require an overnight stay, but from time to time you may be asked to assist somewhere else in the district and may need to stay overnight (you are provided with a company vehicle to drive from home to work). You will be assigned monthly work orders from our automated work order management system. In addition, you are responsible for managing small projects, and responding to service calls at your assigned accounts. As the main point of contact for the customer, you must develop relationships and identify ways that Honeywell can help the customer solve issues in operating their business.
