JOB DESCRIPTION:

The RN Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

TheER RN will be responsible for managing the patient care of assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the Department.RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED:

• Plan, evaluate and implement patient care needs.
• Provide professional nursing care for patients in assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.
• Observe patients vital signs.
• Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment

• Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to the designated area within the probation period
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Must have experience 1 year ER experience.
• Acute care experience required;Critical or emergent care experience preferred
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) Will Consider ADN Candidates; BSN preferred

• Current Registered Nurse License or Compact/Multi-State license, Required.
