Systems Integration Group (SIG) Equipment Product Engineer

As a Systems Integration Group (SIG) Equipment Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for overall product lifecycle management. You will prepare new equipment requirements, new products and coordinate resources, testing, and analysis over the lifecycle of the product. You will run create and maintain design documentation, analyze data and respond to failures. In this role, you will work with various Engineering and Manufacturing teams to characterize the product, to troubleshoot, develop and validate equipment testing programs, as well as identify and validate lab equipment needs, and identify or modify equipment to meet specific product requirements. You will also act as a product-specific point of contact and work with Application Engineers evaluating and providing feedback on data sheets, and with Quality Assurance to ensure product reliability.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Prepare New Equipment requirements

  • Create and maintain Product schedule

  • Document new Product requirements to meet specific product needs

  • Statement of Work (SOW) for new Product(s) and get management approval (Business Value)

  • Work with Development Engineering to create new Product requirements and deliverables

  • Work with Development Engineering to identify new ASIC/Silicon development

  • Work with Legal on NDA/IP contracts

  • Product development Prioritization

Prepare for Initial Prototype for New Products

  • Work with Development Engineering to create/maintain Product documentation

  • Create Product Specification

  • Provide feedback on lessons learned

  • Create and oversee new Product Test Plan (Lab equipment, Test equipment, programs and test times)

Coordinate Post Prototype Planning and Support

  • Create new Product Rollout Plan

  • Work with Manufacturing to execute new Product Rollout Plan

  • Work with Planning to create an ongoing ASIC/Silicon production plan

  • Oversee set priorities for ASIC/Silicon foundry/custom manufacturer

Partner with Development Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Service

  • Create, maintain and deliver presentations (slide deck to support each Product)

  • Participate in meetings (status updates, Manufacture, Development teams, etc)

  • Troubleshoot/customer issues, prioritize and resolve

  • Monitor product field performance metrics

Partner with Product Customer and provide expertise

  • Create and maintain Product Roadmap

  • Provide new Product requirements to customer

  • Gather Product feedback on lessons learned

  • Initiate Product surveys

  • Troubleshoot/customer issues, track and schedule resolution, provide updates

  • Communicate on-time metrics

  • Provide Training

  • Help customers develop expertise on the products

  • Teach classes

  • Attend technical seminars

Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineer

Experience

  • Experienced with test systems and a solid understanding of how they work.

  • Experience with test programming languages or a solid understanding of them.

  • Enjoy working with people and doing customer service

  • Experience with memory products and an understanding of how to test them.

As a Senior Product Engineer on Emerging Memory, you will be tasked with a large variety of tasks on the process and product development for an emerging technology. The job includes interfacing with, Technology Development, design, QRA and the business units. You will use your expertise to validate and steer the direction of next-generation memory technology. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, able to think creatively and work in a team environment.
