UBS Securities LLC seeks Associate Directors, Equity Research Associates / Medical Technology in New York, NY to participate in an equity research team, covering a broad range of publicly traded healthcare companies, specifically medical supplies and devices. Develop and maintain financial models to deliver financial projections and valuation assessment.

Analyze financial and econometric data utilizing Excel, IMS, FactSet, Bloomberg and other data sources. Identify and acquire data from other public and third party data sources, integrating into analysis and published research reports to evaluate current and long term trends. Incorporate multi-factor analysis into investment recommendations, with consideration of potential risks, return and catalysts related to individual companies and stocks.

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 The Equity Research Associate I assists Equity Analysts and Portfolio Managers in the evaluation of current and potential equity investments with direct guidance from senior team members. This includes financial modeling and evaluation of public information and primary due diligence including interviews with management, suppliers, competitors and customers. The Equity Research Associate an integral to due diligence work flow and provides information to Equity Analysts and Portfolio Managers in order to make decisions on existing and prospective investments. Key responsibilities include: * Assist the Senior Equity Analysts and Portfolio Managers in the evaluation of current and potential investments that fit the qualitative investment criteria of the fund * Perform evaluation of public information (annual reports, quarterly conference calls, newspapers, sell-side brokerage reports, etc.) * Participate in interviews with management, suppliers, competitors and customers * Analyze variables such as regulatory actions and changing industry dynamics * Provide information on prospective and existing investments to Equity Analysts and Portfolio Managers. * Ensure investment criteria are adhered to * Review investment analyses frequently and provide new information to Equity Analysts and Portfolio Managers. * Build and update financial and valuation models and other statistical analyses * Perform valuation analysis * Conduct initial research and write-ups on companies * Arrange due diligence calls * Monitor schedules for earnings releases and news flows * Monitor company/industry conference calls and web casts * Attend industry conferences * Other general support for the team * Support senior analysts with thesis document construction, investment memo writing, financial modeling, updating research management systems, and preparing materials for internal meetings, as needed. * Assist in monitoring companies in the portfolio and those that are being evaluated in the industry sector. * Monitor schedules for earnings releases and news flows.
