Wedbush Securities is one of the largest full-service investment banks in the nation. We provide innovative financial solutions through our Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Futures and Advanced Clearing & Prime Services divisions.

Our accounting department is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Accountant to join our growing team. This is a very important role in our accounting and finance department that will report to the Regulatory Accounting Manager, and can be located in Los Angeles or New York.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately compile regulatory filings (FOCUS reports, including Customer Reserve and Net Capital computations, etc.)

  • Prepare daily and monthly reports and schedules to support regulatory and accounting processes

  • Effectively work with internal and external financial and regulatory auditors

  • Interact and work with various departments within the firm to reconcile differences and calculate pieces critical to the financial statements and regulatory reports

  • Analyze reconciliation results between GL and transactional data, identify issues, and provide resolution

  • Performs other duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required, preferably in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or other related field

  • 4+ years of regulatory accounting at a broker dealer

  • Advanced knowledge of 15c3-1 and 15c3-3

  • FINRA Series 27 license preferred

  • Highly meticulous, detail oriented and accurate

  • Ability to analyze processes and improve efficiency of procedures

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills and knowledge

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Word; agile at learning new software applications

  • Perform other tasks and duties as required

Our Human Resources department is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to assist with the full-cycle new hire onboarding process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop, refine and implement new hire onboarding process * Order background checks, track completion and assist in review and analysis of results * Order pre-clearance reports for registered representatives * Act as point of contact for collection of pre-employment documents and contracts and obtain proper signatures on upfront loans * Perform and track onboarding data entry into Ultipro system and Excel * Connect with managers to assist with onboarding, orientation, IT requisition, and supply orders * Conduct new hire orientation and facility tours * Prepare and send welcome materials to all new hires * Compile, maintain and audit employee folders * Enroll and manage records for new hire training * Create and prepare onboarding and recruiting reports and policies; including management committee reporting * Update all onboarding and recruiting forms to be compliant with state and federal laws * Create innovative procedures to boost engagement among our existing employees and new hires * Participate in on-campus recruiting events ,including attending all career fairs where light travel is required * Manage college internship program, and rotational entry level program * Perform other tasks and duties as assigned Experience and Skills * Bachelor's Degree from accredited university required, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources, Communication, or similar focus preferred * 1-2 years experience in HR, recruiting or onboarding capacity required * Proficient n Microsoft Office * Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various levels and departments * Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency * Experience working with Ultipro highly desirable Wedbush Morgan Securities San Francisco CA
