Equity Research - Administrative Assistant

Who We Are:

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., a leading mid-tier investment bank, is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Internet, Communications and Sustainable Growth & Resource Optimization teams. The position is located in New York City.

This individual will work closely with 6 senior research analysts and their junior research associates. Serve as the interface between the research professionals, firm personnel and clients of the firm.

Core responsibilities include:

• Travel arrangements, processing of expenses, maintenance of distribution lists and phone coverage.

• Depending on experience and desire, the responsibilities in this position can be expanded to include assistance in preparing and executing analyses of industry groups and individual companies for use in the formulation of investment recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an equity research or financial environment helpful but not required.

• Must possess the ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.

• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills critical.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
