The Equity Capital Markets group focuses on originating equity offerings (initial public offerings and follow-on offerings), equity-linked securities offerings (e.g., bonds that are convertible into an issuer's equity), and over-the-counter equity derivative transactions (e.g., call spread overlays and structured share repurchase transactions) for corporate clients. The group interacts daily with clients and various parts of the Bank - investment banking, sales and trading, and research.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Focusing on the origination and execution of new equity and equity-linked offerings

  • Monitoring global markets and analyzing/interpreting relevant issuance data for our clients

  • Preparing and reviewing industry and product analyses for pitches (including precedent transaction analyses, timing considerations, investor targeting, running analyses to show the financial impact of an equity or equity-linked transaction)

  • Attend client meetings and help maintain relationships

  • Participate in due diligence and drafting sessions

  • Execution of live deals (providing timing, structure and valuation advice, pricing materials, preparing internal memos for various approval processes, and performing various tasks for transaction execution)

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Previous managerial experience and strong knowledge of equity markets

  • Have strong written and oral communication skills (in order to interact directly with our client base) and strong interpersonal skills to maintain a team atmosphere

  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to blend quantitative analysis with effective presentation skills

  • Have a desire to work in a client-focused, service-oriented environment

  • Self-starter and team player; detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to quickly learn the basics of the various transactions

To support this growth, we are looking for a Vice President to expand the US ETF Capital Markets team based in New York. The ETF Capital Markets team oversees the strategic relationships with Exchanges, Authorized Participants and Market Makers, alongside working with our client advisors and their clients to achieve optimal trading outcomes. As a member of the team, you would be responsible for delivering key outcomes across the following segments; Markets Listing Exchanges * Maintain relationships with listing exchanges and a working knowledge of the National Market System * Advocate for market structure initiatives vital to the progress of the ETF ecosystem * Manage listing process and leverage appropriate marketing and LMM programs to further growth Authorized Participants and Market Makers * Maintain relationships with Market Makers and APs to facilitate a seamless trading environment * Procure adequate liquidity and spreads both on and off exchange prior to, and after, launch * Monitor spreads and premiums across product line and communicate issues with Lead Market Maker Clients Retail & Institutional * Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the sales teams across all client segments * Assist sales teams by participating in client meetings and other client events * Educate clients on the trading mechanics of ETFs and safely guide them toward best execution Broker Dealers * Educate market participants about new and existing products to promote product growth * Identify institutional use cases for ETFs by working alongside various sales and trading teams * Conduct joint client events and develop thoughtful research notes with ETF trading desks Business Development Product * Work closely with product development to ensure new products are structured to trade efficiently * Advise product team on enhancements that will lead to improved liquidity and market quality * Further the development of transparent and semi-transparent active funds Platform * Guide the build out of surveillance and analytical tools to advance and protect business * Remain at the forefront of new industry developments to enhance platform * Attend and participate in industry conferences and market structure committees The ideal candidate will have: * 5+ years of financial services experience, preferably in Sales and Trading or Capital Markets at a top tier investment bank, trading firm or asset manager * Multi-asset knowledge including equities, fixed income and derivatives * Familiarity with current exchange and regulatory landscape effecting ETFs * Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, including the factors that drive pricing * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills * Effective relationship management skills and ability to build credibility with internal stakeholders * Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and create effective solutions * Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.) required.
