SUMMARY

The Equity & Strategic Engagement Manager at Lake Washington School District plays a pivotal role in fostering inclusive and participatory environments by engaging students, district staff, and families to amplify their voices in decision-making processes. This position oversees a team of four school-based Equity and Family Engagement Facilitators, ensuring their efforts align with the district's equity goals. Reporting directly to the Director of Equity and Family Engagement, the manager collaborates on strategic initiatives, advocates for equitable practices, and champions diversity to create a supportive educational ecosystem where every voice is valued and heard. SALARY

Department Administrator - Level 2, Step 1 $119,332 - 121,767.00 / 261 calendar days. This is an exempt position. Full benefit package available.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, education, public administration or other relevant area

• Master's degree preferred.

• Five or more years of experience in social work, non-profit management, education, public administration or a combination thereof.

• Two or more years of supervisory experience or other relevant experience preferred.

• Experience in equity work including, but not limited to, collaborating with various communities (especially underserved communities), dismantling systemic racism, and navigating community resources and employee engagement initiatives.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed indoors under minimal temperature changes and a generally hazard free environment. The usual and customary methods of performing the functions of this job require the following physical demands:

• Frequent reaching, handling, etc.

• Seldom lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling.

• Seldom climbing and balancing

• Seldom stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.
