Equity Analyst, Public Real Estate Securities

This Opportunity

Our Chicago office is seeking an Equity Analyst to join its Public Real Estate Securities team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is highly analytical, collaborative and has a strong interest in publicly traded securities and real estate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing in-depth industry knowledge in assigned property sectors

• Providing detailed company and financial analysis of publicly traded real estate companies and property markets

• Running, maintaining, and continually enhancing proprietary security screening and valuation tools

• Assessing the capabilities of each company's senior management team through one-on-one meetings and quantitative measures

• Formulating recommendations to the remainder of the investment team for names in your coverage universe

• Writing and presenting research reports as needed

Qualifications:

• 1 - 5 years of experience

• Bachelor's Degree required

• Major in Finance, Real Estate or related field preferred

• Excellent communicator with strong writing skills

• Well-organized, detail oriented and deadline driven

• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and handle ambiguity

• Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high degree of diligence and accuracy

• Proficiency in Excel and Word
