The Facilities/Equipment Coordinator will perform a variety of functions associated with the acquisition, implementation, and coordination of all equipment and systems related to the laboratories, logistics, facilities, and manufacturing departments.

The Facilities/Equipment Coordinator will support the Facilities and Equipment Team so that all Labs and Facilities operate in a safe and sound manner through accurate calibration, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs. Under the supervision of management, will have the oversight of contractors performing maintenance and/or service activities. Will confer with management to identify areas of concern and prioritize projects based on need.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide support to other departments, as assigned.

  • Maintain a knowledge of all equipment (biological safety cabinets, centrifuges, freezers, heat sealers, incubators, lyophilized, refrigerators, etc.) and systems (compressed gas, compressed air, electrical, process controls, purified steam, USP water, etc.).

  • Responsible for reviewing and uploading all documentation related to each piece of equipment and system.

  • Maintain communication and scheduling with contractors, operators, and management to ensure all concerns are communicated, detailed, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Identifies most effective use of resources for the procurement of parts, equipment and service contracts.

  • Manages single and multi-phase projects to assure all activities are completed based on established guidelines, priorities, and timeframes.

  • Adheres to and aligns with all Federal, State, and Locals laws as well as company policies and rules, while assuring team members and contractors do the same.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of calibration, operation, and maintenance programs.

  • Participate in failure analysis and improvement programs to identify discrepancies in maintenance, operational, calibration, etc. procedures.

  • Responsible for department AP/AR processing and reconciliation. (ARIBIA)

  • Assist management in editing and writing procedural documentation (SOP's).

  • Participate in the establishment of approved vendors and contractors. (ARIBIA)

  • Coordinate and schedule equipment calibrations, installations, maintenance, repairs, setups, and training within a classified work environment.

  • Participate in all required meetings.

  • Crafting and submitting reports, as needed.

What will you need to be successful?

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience and previous experience working for a Biomedical Technology Company. Will also consider applicants with three (3) years of previous experience as an Executive Coordinator or Project Manager in the biotech field.

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Related Field preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Project Management, PowerPoint, Word etc.)

  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in Data Base Creation and Maintenance (Blue Mountain Calibration Management Software)

  • Willing to participate in the on-call program, work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.

  • Must have reliable transportation.
