The purpose of this position is to provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of equipment maintenance and management of a variety of ARNG equipment is required.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
Military Grades: Officer: O1 - O3. Warrant: WO1 - WO4. Enlisted: E4 - E8

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more classes of equipment; experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology; basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment; experience must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical publications; knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, education, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 24 months experience, education or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design; experience in the use of tools and test equipment; experience developing, installing, inspecting or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques?
