You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (COMMUNICATIONS) in the Logistics Division of Blount Island Command.

You will advise on quality assurance (QA) issues relating to the verification of materials, products, processes, or documentation
You will perform analysis and verification related to logistics support policies, procedures, concepts, specifications, and requirements to support operations
You will review maintenance documentation and make sure of implementation at the production shop level to support production operations
You will maintain currency with industry developments to integrate changes into system production or installation
You will develop metrics to measure the efficiency or effectiveness of maintenance processes
You will give technical guidance to the production workforce

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
developing specialized information on communications equipment; and providing guidance on the production, maintenance, repair, and disposal of communications equipment.

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on meeting at least one of these listed educational accomplishments OR an equivalent combination of experience and education:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.


Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.


Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.


A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
