GENERAL DISCUSSION OF RESPONSIBILITIES, MISSION AND STRATEGY
EMSAR is looking for an Equipment Repair Technician I. The Equipment Repair Technician I is responsible for testing and repairing electro-mechanical products assigned by work order. This position applies knowledge of electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. This role may also be assigned to other operations and/or manufacturing teams as necessary to meet customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as assigned to troubleshoot and repair "returned for repair" units or components in a manner that efficiently and effectively repairs electromechanical equipment in accordance with operational specifications and customer requirements.
Performs with direction work requiring knowledge of equipment specifications, properties, materials and applications of the full array of hardware products offered by EMSAR
Complies with company and OSHA safety requirements.
Informs and seeks advice from appropriate supervisor of atypical/unusual repair items.
Successfully completes assigned training within specified period of time.
Other duties, responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
DISCUSSION OF QUALIFICATIONS
Requires High School diploma or GED
Vocational diploma in electro mechanical repair or related field preferred
0 to 2 years experience including knowledge of electronic components and equipment including the use of instruments for diagnostic purposes
Basic skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect equipment
Ability to exercise judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting proper tools and test equipment for each repair
Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic devices
Ability to follow detailed and defined work processes and work instructions
Good oral and written communication

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job operates in light manufacturing environment with exposure to equipment, tools and various noise levels.
