We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented work team as an Equipment Production Manager, Americas. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will drive a world-class electromechanical manufacturing and services department by emphasizing and inculcating the highest standards of quality and assembly shop expertise, and by managing productivity and cost efficiencies. You will also:

  • Meet customer expectations in the manufacture of new equipment by managing key performance metrics for safety, quality, ISO standards, shipping service levels, and inventory turns and maintenance
  • Develop a vibrant, responsive, customer-advocating production and services department by exercising strong leadership skills to acquire, develop, and coach talented department personnel
  • Meet customer expectations for equipment service and repair by managing key performance metrics for customer satisfaction, technical support, calibration, warranty, repair, and turnaround time
  • Manage exemplary technical support by authoring Service Manuals, Technical Bulletins, work instructions, calibration, and Service Change Notices
  • Drive the manufacturing scale-up of products by managing interactions, partnerships, and projects with Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and Ops Planning, and Engineering
  • Maximize productivity and asset utilization by managing continuous improvement of projects that result in reduction of operator errors, and improvement of first pass yield

Requirements

You should have:

  • A bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading teams
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing and assembly environment
  • Aptitude for handling service-oriented business with a strong emphasis on customer support
  • Proficiency in ERP systems for manufacturing ops required; JE Edwards E-1 preferred
  • Excellent communications skills with track record of leading and developing employees
