Loader Operators run machinery for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Loader Operators skillfully navigate the pit and yard to ensure safe loading and unloading of rock into the primary crushers. Depending upon heavy equipment experience, Loader Operators will need high to little supervision to accomplish their essential functions depending upon experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
90% of job: Operator of a Loader.
Responsible for the safe operations of the assigned Loader.
Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on Loader.
Ensuring equipment is properly positioned for loading and unloading of water.
Performing other plant or pit maintenance duties as needed.
Promptly reporting all faults to the Plant Manager or Foreman.
Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
10% of job:
Technical Competencies:
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment, stationary, and mobile equipment if needed.

ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels.
Pay starts at 22.38 an hour and increases based on experience and management approval
