Equipment Operator Iii- Stormwater

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III (Stormwater Infrastructure):  Coordinates projects, serves as lead equipment operator for heavy/medium equipment and performs manual work associated with operations of the Storm Water Infrastructure Division of the Beaufort County Public Works Department. Provides direction, training and assistance to division employees. Coordinates daily work activities, assigns work, monitors status of work, and inspects completed work and trouble shoots problem situations.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

•     High school diploma or GED
•    Vocational/technical training in heavy vehicle operation, equipment operation, and work in

      storm water infrastructure

•    Three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes public works construction

     projects, project coordination, heavy equipment operation, basic supervision, and work in

     specific area of assignment

•    Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL)

•     Supervisory experience strongly preferred

•    Basic communication, Comprehension and math skills required
