Equipment Operator II Stormwater Infrastructure

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II (STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE):  Under general supervision, operates assigned vehicles and equipment in support of Public Works operations, as well as performs repetitive duties that follow prescribed practices involving the application of readily understood rules and procedures. "On call" for emergency and after-hours duties throughout the County and designated as "Remain Behind Personnel" in the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

•     High school diploma or GED

•     CDL Required

•     Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

•     Vocational/technical training in heavy equipment operation, vehicle operation, and work in area of assignment

•     Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required.

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment.
