THE ROLE: EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Beverage Equipment Operator II will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. This Position will require coordinating daily production needs with supervisor; inventory management, unloading / loading trailers, including production work. Operator must be willing and able to assist in operating Beverage Plant equipment and assist in the training of Equipment Operators.

  • Monitor material flow and instruments to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters

  • Set or adjust machine controls to regulate conditions such as material flow, temperature, and pressure

  • Measure or weigh materials to be refined, mixed, transferred, stored, or otherwise processed

  • Unload & prepare ingredients for daily processing

  • Complete changeovers, CIP's, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have two to five years' experience as an Equipment operator in a production plant

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Punctual, with an excellent attendance record

  • Work with minimal or no supervision

  • Communicate effectively in English, both orally and written

  • Apply common sense, understand and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form

  • Work as a team and follow instructions

  • Must be able to cooperate with others

  • Ability to operate a Blow Molder, Filler, Labeler, and Case Packer

  • Must have a forklift license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five to seven years' experience as an Equipment Operator in a similar production environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift to 50 pounds

  • Stand and walk for extended period

  • Work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm) Monday through Sunday with rotating days off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
