NDDOT Starting Salary: $3,418 / month with up to a 5% increase after probation

The candidate selected for this position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Summary of Work

  • Highway, Roadway and Structure Maintenance

  • Operate heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties.

  • Perform highway maintenance duties.

  • Perform basic snow and ice control/removal.

  • Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails.

  • Operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.

  • Building and Grounds Maintenance

  • Perform building and ground maintenance duties.

  • Information Technology Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform general routine maintenance of the roadway and radio system equipment.

  • Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance

  • Perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

  • Record Keeping

  • Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc.

  • Highway Construction Project Duties

  • Receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.

  • Maintain a Safe Working Environment

This position is a safety-sensitive position. An employee, not already in a safety-sensitive position, who is selected for the position, but before being hired, will be required to satisfactorily complete a drug test. In addition, all employees applying for this position must sign the Drug Testing Release form (SFN 50098) and the district office will contact current and previous employers (within past two years).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.

  • Valid Class B driver's permit with air brakes with a cargo tanker endorsement by the first day of work. The employee will have 6 months to obtain a Class A driver's license with air brakes and cargo-tanker endorsement.

  • Requires work after hours, on weekends, and holidays during emergency events. Will be at times required to report to work within 30 minutes during emergency or storm situations.

  • Previous experience in safely operating equipment such as tractors with attachments, farm trucks, etc. preferred.

Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test, medical screening, reference check and driving records check.

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-14T00:00 Role Summary: Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Operator II in Minot, ND Essential Responsibilities: * Under general supervision is responsible for all aspects of cable services including spooling and banding electrical power cable utilized on ESP systems in coordinated effort and procedure with installation engineer and rig operators. * Spools cable onto cable reel as the tubing s being pulled out of the well. * Bands cable onto tubing as the dow nunit and tubing are being run into the well. * Maintains cable service truck and trailer, performs daily inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. * Assists with cable repair as needed at the cable repair service center. * Proper completion of DOT log books, DOT inspection forms, and turn in for office records. Proficiently performs equipment lay downs as requested by customers and completes paperwork. * Completes daily time sheet and monthly expense report. * Conducts field analysis and tests cable strings after they have come out of the well. * Collects information during testing and inspection to provide a customer with recommendations on equipment or cable status. * Ability to alternate methods of completing tasks if the set method is not viable and stay within HS&E guidelines. Must have ability to communicate with various clients and must have an ability to quickly adjust to changing job assignments/requirements and have the flexibility to work overtime with little or no advance notice. * Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
