We are currently seeking sm Equipment Operator for our Englewood, CO location.

PURPOSE:

At this level, incumbent should be proficient in all essential duties and be able to perform all duties with general supervision. Operator is responsible for the safe execution of operations at the service location which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck and crane (as applicable) at the service location, and assisting with all operations both in the shop and in the field. Incumbent operates and maintains the assigned truck and equipment, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.

  • Provides support to crew members with operations on and off of location as directed.

  • Must place ["spot"] equipment as directed by Supervisor.

  • Performs operations at a customer's well location with exposure to inclement weather and confined spaces.

  • May operate heavy machinery if properly certified

  • Completes all job related paperwork, driver's logs, and vehicle inspection reports

  • Installation/disassembly of equipment in accordance with original manufacturer's standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment including diagnostics. May perform minor repairs as needed per supervision and/or liaise with technicians on other equipment failure. Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Less than High School Education

Work Experience: 2-4 years

Supervisory Experience: Not Applicable

Related Experience:

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Work Experience: 2-4 years

Supervisory Experience: Not Applicable

Related Experience:

  • Forklift Operator

  • Crane Operator

  • Quality & HSE Certifications

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement

  • Relevant oilfield product line experience

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-14T00:00 Overview The Equipment Operator III performs skilled labor involving the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of heavy construction equipment, machinery and hand and power tools in street repair, maintenance and construction. The Equipment Operator III performs skilled heavy equipment operation and labor as part of a work crew in the maintenance, repair and construction of city streets and related infrastructure. This position oversees the work of an assigned crew and completes daily work order information. It is a requirement of this position to work overtime and be on call for emergency events. Duties and Responsibilities The listed examples of work are not intended to be all-inclusive. They may be modified with additions, deletions, or changes as necessary. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Monitors and leads the work of Equipment Operator I and II. Completes necessary paperwork at end of shift, regarding work orders completed. Maintains existing roadways, alleyways, storm drains, ditches and city facilities through the operation of machinery, hand and power tools and the operation of heavy equipment. Operates roto-mill, hydra hammer, front end loader, paving machines, backhoes, bucket trucks, tandem axel dump trucks, snow plows spreaders, line graders, plate compactors asphalt rollers, concrete saws, crack sealers, tractor mover, backpack blowers gas and electric powered equipment and hand tools. Removes debris and weeds from alleys, trims trees and limbs, hauls road base and other necessary materials from asphalt, sand or gravel facilities, and transport to job site which involves mountain driving to haul and stockpile supply of materials used for routine maintenance and as needed by other departments. Performs daily CDL pre- and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, records information in a vehicle inspection log, in order to identify safety issues. Services assigned equipment and performs routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Reports mechanical problems for shop repair. Removes ice and snow from streets and alleys by operating snow plow trucks, sanders, front-end loaders and motor graders to assist in the safe flow of traffic. Cleans roadways after storms using street sweepers to avoid and deter safety hazards. Leads new roadway construction team, reconstructing streets, parking lots and facilities. Assists other departments in completion of tasks they are not equipped to perform. Oversees contracted maintenance programs through observation of work progress and performance. Trains less experienced personnel in the operation of heavy equipment and supervises teams of workers as assigned. Performs highly skilled finish grade on excavation and construction duties encompassing the movement of dirt by reading engineering grade stakes and using graders, rollers, dump trucks etc. Removes debris and weeds from streets and alleys by operation of hand tools and tractor mower. Trims trees and limbs. Other Duties and Responsibilities Serves as acting supervisor in the absence of the Streets Administrator. Installs new manholes and storm drainage systems, by use of cement mixer, backhoe and shovel, for the prevention of flooding and to facilitate proper drainage. Paints barricades and bridges to assist in safety of citizens, keep bridges from rusting and eliminate excessive repair.
