The individual selected will primarily be responsible for operating heavy maintenance equipment on streets, roads, alleys and right-of-ways, and in assisting with various streets maintenance activities.

Ideal candidates will have experience in streets maintenance equipment operations generally and specifically in the maintenance of paved roads, dirt roads, alleys and shoulders. They will be safety oriented, possess a positive attitude, have an eye for detail and a reputation for a strong work ethic. A strong attendance and punctuality record is essential.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational/technical training (this includes on-the-job training) in heavy equipment operation and streets maintenance (to include roads, shoulders and right-of-ways) or a closely related field, and one year of experience in the same. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures.

Licenses & Certifications:

This position requires a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement, Work Zone Safety Certification and a Pesticide Applicator License; or the ability to obtain them within six months of the hire date.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Equipment Technician to join the LifeNet Health team in our Virginia Beach, VA location on a 3 PM to 11 PM shift. As an Equipment Technician, you would maintain and service production equipment in accordance with controlled drawings, specifications, procedures, and maintenance schedules, as necessary to support production operations. You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to: * Perform processing equipment repair and maintenance activities in accordance with approved specifications and procedures and completes all associated documentation * Assist in the development and maintenance of equipment par levels to support production operations and equipment repair operations, including spare, repair, and replacement part ordering * Initiate vendor repair and calibration services in cooperation with Facilities Management staff * Assist with technical training of production staff regarding proper equipment use and care and mechanical inspection of custom fabricated and machined components * Monitor and reports equipment performance data including but not limited to: durability, repair history, vendor performance, work in progress, and various other aspects of equipment reliability * Assist operations managers, P&L engineers, and R&D engineers in support of process launch and continuous improvement projects * Build, maintain, and repair existing PSD sets in accordance with defined specifications and work instructions Minimum Qualificatons: * High School Diploma or GED * 1 year of related industry experience Preferred Qualificatons: * Associate's Degree or vocational training * Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician Get to Know LifeNet Health: LifeNet Health, headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is the largest nonprofit organ procurement organization ("OPO") and tissue bank in the United States, as well as a leading innovator in transplantation research and regenerative medicine.
