Currently looking for Day-Shift Equipment Mechanics for a large equipment Rental Company.

Responsibilities will include the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools. You will also be responsible for service documentation, the training of lower level technicians as needed, demonstration of equipment for customer use, and occasional travel to customer sites. Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement into higher levels of service technician and management roles.

Benefits of the Equipment Mechanic position:

  • Starting Wage: $15.00 - $18.00 an hour with OT
  • Full Benefits offered
  • Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30am 4:00pm

Qualifications for the Equipment Mechanic position:

  • 1-2 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel trucks, trailers, automobiles, farm equipment, construction equipment, high reach equipment, forklift, vehicles, gas/diesel engines and equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of construction/high reach equipment, have a strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
  • Must have own tools applicable to position.
  • Exhibit teamwork, verbal, and written skills. Superior customer service a must.

We want to execute winning strategies to ensure we are providing WOW customer service in a safe and effective manner. * JOB DESCRIPTION * Experience with tractor trailer, bobcats, forklifts, material handlers and other specialty equipment * Inspect vehicles or equipment to identify problems * Perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance to improve reliability of equipment * Troubleshoot and repair various production equipment. * Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repairs. * Willing to work as part of a team, with a positive safety attitude. * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. * Owns and maintains the basic tools to complete repairs. * Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor * JOB REQUIREMENTS * Must be able to work 2 PM to 10 PM * 2 year technical school graduate preferred * 3-5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment and/or diesel trucks * Electrical and mechanical aptitude * Effective Problem solving skills * ASE Certification preferred * Engine experience on Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit Diesel preferred * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Physical Requirements * Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds.
