UAA is seeking a Fleet Technician CT3 to join our Fleet Transportation department. This is a represented, benefited, 12-month position serving in a fast-paced and integral University operational shop.

We are a high paced shop that offers many roles on the UAA campus.

We handle all logistics of moving large items on campus.

We handle all repairs of electric, gas and diesel equipment and vehicles at UAA campus. This position will be for a senior tech that will also be teaching lower techs to further assist at work.

Must know how to repair multiple types of equipment form lawn mowers, to vehicles, to heavy equipment and generators. Must be able to switch roles from manual labor, to repair, to preventive maintenance, and operating multiple equipment daily.

Must be able to troubleshoot with online software and paper manuals. Keep updated work order logs online for proper billing. Also must have experience with welding and fabricating for different repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 15 years related experience and/or training, such as a certificate of completion from a technical school, on job training, educational classes taken, or ASE test passed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (ie. fleet maintenance, oil/lube shop experience, diesel, gas or automotive shop experience). Position Details:

This position is located on the UAA Main campus in Anchorage.

Salary Information: CT3 /Step 1 $30.87/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule).
