As a Tesla Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability and preventive maintenance of a wide array of critical manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Equipment Maintenance are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production going.
Day to day coverage of production equipment in assigned area - complete scheduled PM's, respond to alarms, solve equipment breakdowns and fulfill production requests efficiently to minimize downtime.
Diagnose equipment failures - root cause and communicate required actions across relevant teams.
Perform major equipment repairs, rebuilds and installations.
Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance protocols.
Help drive effort to identify critical spares and inventory
Review work requests for equipment in assigned area of responsibility
Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.).

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
Planning, scheduling and execution of CMMS software is a plus
Deep technical experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical systems, conveyance systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, and electrical systems for production equipment.
Technical command of robotics and controls/PLC programming (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens preferred).
Experience maintaining and solving technical issues with Fanuc and/or Kuka robots preferred.
Demonstrated ability to execute and improve preventative maintenance methods, documentation and/or scheduling to minimize equipment downtime.
Proficiency in basic MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
