Job Description
As Wafer Maintenance Manager you will manage a department of 25 to 30 direct report Maintenance Technicians engaged in the preventative maintenance and repair of Wafer production tools. You will provide leadership and direction to Maintenance Technicians toward the attainment of Maintenance and Production defined goals. You will maintain oversight of the Maintenance Team assigned to you and drive resolution of problems that arise. You will adapt to changes on the fly and pursue alternate paths when necessary to achieve tool repair objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain staffing levels needed to meet Maintenance, production/non-production schedules
Plan and execute Maintenance training strategies to ensure coverage of all assigned Tools
Monitor production requirements to ensure priorities are communicated and addressed
Identify and drive resolution of tooling problems that could impact output or product quality
Monitor tool performance as needed and react to out-of-control situations
Work with PE, EE, Tool Owners, Co-Workers and/or Manufacturing teams to address tooling/process related issues
Ensure employees are hired, promoted, and compensated consistent with company policies
Track employee performance to ensure expectations are being met
Provide timely coaching to develop and enhance the performance of your direct report Maintenance Technicians
Conduct periodic performance reviews and ensure assessments are timely, fair, and consistent
Address performance problems in a timely fashion and take appropriate action(s) with involvement of HR Team
Ensure the consistent application of appropriate and timely disciplinary actions, when warranted
Provide coaching/direction to Maintenance Technicians and/or non-Maintenance Tech personnel that report to you
Help promote and implement Maintenance concepts through assigned Team
Represent department for internal/external audits and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Prior supervisory/management experience, preferably in a Maintenance environment
Knowledge of wafer manufacturing production tooling
Familiarity with Resource Viewer, MESA, SPC, QMF and similar applications/systems used to monitor tool performance.
Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint and Word (Intermediate level, minimum)
Familiarity with Maintenance reports used to assign work, prioritize tools that are down, react to reoccurring tool related issues
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with all levels in Organization
Promote a safe work environment
Promote Quality daily
Ability to work in a cleanroom at a minimum 6 Hrs/day
Interact with Manufacturing Managers throughout assigned shift in Manufacturing Control Room minimum 3hrs/day
Work on an AWS Schedule and any addition time required to complete additional tasks that are assigned
