Equipment Fleet Service Mechanic

Crafco, Inc. has an opening for an Equipment Fleet Service Mechanic at our Nashville, TN supply center.

Come join our team! We're seeking a mechanic to service our equipment rental fleet and customer equipment. Great hours M-F, full time at our Nashville service center paying up to $23-$26 per hour dependent upon experience. The qualified applicant will provide technical support, assess issues and perform appropriate repairs, as well as perform routine and preventative maintenance for our rental equipment and customer equipment.

Equipment Fleet Mechanic Duties:

• Assess equipment and perform appropriate service and/or repairs for customer equipment and rental fleet equipment

• Provide technical assistance to customers and sales personnel, as needed

• Meet with customers or sales personnel to discuss services required, and identify customer needs for their equipment

• Manage and maintain rental fleet equipment, providing pre and post rental inspections and repair as needed

• Manage the routine and preventative maintenance of rental and demo equipment fleet

• Perform quality inspections of new units delivered from manufacturing center. This includes a full run-up upon delivery to our service center, and pre-delivery inspections before delivery to customer(s).

• Provide technical support and/or answer questions over the phone for customers regarding parts and equipment

• Assist the shipping department with pulling and packing parts orders

Equipment Fleet Mechanic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 1 year of equipment, auto, or related service or mechanic work

• Experience with diesel engines desired

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge and experience with various tools and service equipment

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role including but not limited to: standing, sitting, bending, squatting, and/or lying down for periods of time, lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs. as needed, working in potentially adverse conditions or hot/cold weather.
