The Equipment Finance Credit Analyst is responsible for approving the extension of credit for Technology Leasing opportunities, and/or make recommendations to the person(s) making the final lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans or leases to approve or deny the extension of credit. The Credit Analyst will conduct complete credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers. You will have the ability to utilize your extensive communication skills to partner and work with Bank and Sales team members. The Credit Analyst also reviews customer accounts and portfolios in order to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Ten or more years of experience in credit analysis and/or lending activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Leasing experience a plus

  • Considerable credit analysis and analytical skills

  • Extensive knowledge of credit administration, policy and procedures

  • Thorough knowledge of economics, accounting, and finance

  • In-depth knowledge of Moody's risk analysis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing

While this role will not have direct reports, this person will be responsible for leading projects and working directly with senior leadership within Huntington Equipment Finance and Commercial Operations. To be successful the candidate for this position must be driven and well-organized, possess excellent leadership qualities, and a strong willingness to learn and collaborate with others. Detailed Description: * Runs or oversees running of nightly job stream process on system of record, InfoLease, in order to obtain journal entries and nightly reports with special processing done at month and year ends. * Completes or assists in completion of System Access Reviews, Internal Control tests as required. * Completes daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting. * Daily System Administration functions including but not limited to InfoLease and Rapport updates. * Support all aspects of Equipment Finance business in improving efficiencies and service delivery by leveraging automation opportunities * Ad hoc report creation. * Capture and recording of group metrics, scorecards and business reviews. * Procedure review and creation. * Provide technical leadership and expertise on projects supported by the business, which can range from targeted system enhancements to high impact system upgrades. * Follows effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * 3+ years' work experience in a related field, preferably banking and/or banking operations Preferred Qualifications * Understanding of technical concepts around Micro Strategy, Crystal Reports, SQL Server or Oracle databases, and database administration in order to work cross functionally with developers and DBA's. * Excellent customer-service skills. * Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment. * Experience managing multiple priorities and re-prioritize as appropriate. * Experience and ability to quickly analyze and react to customer service issues. * Demonstrated ability to convey ideas verbally and/or in writing with a clear, concise, organized and articulate style using a format appropriate for target audience. * Demonstrated ability to problem solve, providing creative options within policy guidelines. * Ability to work in a team environment, resolve problems independently, inform management of all appropriate issues, work with a sense urgency while maintaining close attention to detail. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Candidate must have knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software.
