Identify, design and lead major business process re-engineering projects, and supporting information systems initiatives worldwide for specific business unit(s).
Major Areas of Accountability-
Lead planning, design and implementation of business process changes within assigned areas of responsibility. Lead planning and participate in the design and implementation of business systems which support assigned business processes. Define project objectives, scope, ownership and resource requirements
Develop and maintain thorough understanding of existing business processes within assigned areas of responsibility, and the information and data they require and generate. Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the computer application functionality required to make those business processes effective.
Lead periodic review and assessment of current business processes versus the required functionality, and initiate proposals to modify or replace processes as necessary. Participate in periodic evaluation of the current computer applications portfolio versus the required functionality, and initiate proposals to modify or replace applications as necessary.
Develop requirements for the technical architecture supporting the business systems initiatives, and insure that these requirements are included in the corporate IS technical planning process.
Organize effective task and steering teams to address complex and cross-functional project requirements, issues and objectives. Develop project monitoring and reporting systems and processes.
May lead execution of business system application development, procurement, and/or implementation activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
Develop methods and tools for requirements definition, process modeling and design, systems design, data modeling, workflow, and project management. Maintain a high degree of competency in these methods and tools through training and hands-on application.
Direct outside consultation activities as required to meet project needs.
Support the project management efforts through designing new and improvement of existing processes to ensure alignment between demand and capacity; validate the operational plan will meet company performance commitments.
Partner with the Project Engineering Leaders to improve the effectiveness of portfolio and project management global standards.
Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Minimum 8-10 years of experience supporting SAP Project Systems (PS) and/or Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM).
Demonstrated dedication to continuous improvement through continuing education and adoption of best practices
Strong planning skills, interpersonal skills, project management experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to facilitate discussions and build consensus to achieve holistically beneficial outcomes
Strong command of business English, both written and verbal
Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally
Proven ability to achieve success without direct organizational authority functional lines
CPIM or CSCP Certification
Experience with system and process modeling and design tools
Knowledge of SAP ECC functionality and configuration in at least one functional area strongly
