The Enterprise Project Management Office Manager is responsible for the successful oversight and management of multiple information services (IS) projects, including infrastructure and software development. The position is also responsible for funding parameters in accordance with Concentra and department policies, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Project Managers and Senior Project Managers for multiple teams will report directly to the EPMO Manager, as it pertains to implementation, deliverables, and status reports for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate data and metrics to propose new strategies to improve project delivery and develop reports that portray and give external stakeholders visibility into the project landscape

  • Directly manage IS/IT team projects during project delivery, multiple concurrent projects, as well as various projects throughout the year

  • Serve in the Agile transformation process and refining the waterfall delivery methodologies

  • Provide leadership on project management processes, methodology, and tools

  • Identify and leverage personal and team project management best practices to help successfully scale the Project Management team along with the growing company.

  • Work with the project management team to integrate process improvement and development methodologies into current planning and management processes.

  • Ensure projects are aligned to company priorities and associated business outcomes and are completed on time, in scope, and within budget.

  • Guarantee that necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve project risks which may impede progress or compromise achievement scheduled milestones

  • Work closely with assigned teams on process improvement and proactively engage with stakeholder to identify and monitor progress and issue resolution

  • Establish and maintain a framework for issue resolution and risk mitigation, as well as the centralized visibility to help planning and scheduling teams to identify the most suitable approach to deliver projects and programs

  • Review project proposal or phases to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources

  • Coordinate with resource owners to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Integrate any/all team sub-plans into a larger master project plan

  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review all project deliverables

  • Establish, schedule, and facilitate regular status meetings with project personnel. Document agendas and minutes for all status meetings and assign action items as appropriate

  • Maintain issue list, proactively escalate issues to project and departmental leadership to mitigate risk. Recommend and take action to direct analysis and solution of problems

  • Prepare and present project reports for management, client, or others

  • Participate in EPMO guidelines, IS initiatives and ELT driven reporting

  • Assist in refining delivery for the EPMO (Branding, delivery, and media)

  • Manage a team of project management professions including but not limited to: coordinators; scrum masters; project leads; project managers; senior project managers

  • Hold consistent 1 on 1 with team members and gather feedback from stakeholders

  • Monitor and guide employee career roadmaps and goals

  • Assist in developing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and communicating them to employees and coaching teams

  • Assist in training project managers and resources on usage of correct standards, branding material, and reporting tools

  • Participate in technical assessments and business process workflow review and documentation.

  • Identify and document opportunities for increasing efficiency

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's DegreeDegree must be from an accredited college or university.Certifications and/or Licenses:• PMP Certification preferred but not required• SAFe Scrum Master license obtain in a year

Job-Related Experience

  • Customarily has 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in software development project management and with personal and team accountability and ownership

  • Customarily has 3 or more years of experience in implementing Scaled Agile Framework program (SAFe)

  • 1-3 years of management experience or major project experience with multiple stakeholders or high executive visibility

  • Strong delivery and lean process experience with a proven track record of transforming large scale delivery from traditional methodologies to scaled agile (SAFe)

  • Familiarity with various types of projects, processes, and deliverables

  • Strong experience in internal and external engagement and communication, both written and verbal

  • Healthcare experience preferred
