The Epidemiologist III, COVID Contract Manager, shall:
Develop and approve schedules and priorities for the COVID contract group and manage performance evaluation activities, time and leave records, travel, and training; resolves employee relations problems.
Perform advanced management and oversight for all operations of the COVID group in collaboration with the Unit Director and Unit Managers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Staff shall have experience with data entry and analysis using the DSHS National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS).
Knowledge of the principles and functions of public health.
Knowledge of research planning and evaluation methods in epidemiology
Knowledge of laws and rules applicable to confidentiality and the management of protected health information.
Knowledge and experience with epidemiology.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and methods.
Knowledge of statistical software, especially SAS, SPSS, and/or Stata, and Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and
Skill in effective verbal communication, including preparation and presentation of complex data analysis.
Skill in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives, and negotiating and implementing solutions to data and research problems.
