Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is seeking an EPIC Reporting Analyst in our Concord Administrative Office. This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site. SUMMARY

The Epic Reporting Analyst reports to the VP of IT. They collaborate with the Analytics team, EHR team, and Clinical Operations leadership team to understand their business operations, processes, and user needs. The Epic Reporting Analyst has the ability to communicate with operational users and properly translate workflow data needs into quality analytics solutions. They serve as the SME for all Epic reporting including building and maintaining dashboards and any assigned tickets/issues. Working with cross-functional teams, the Epic Reporting Analyst participates in review of current workflows and informational goals and will properly translate them into quality analytics solutions that will meet the clinical needs. The Epic Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the design and development of Epic-based reporting utilizing Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer and other Epic reporting tools. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting existing reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborates with Clinical Operations and the EHR team to develop detailed requirement specifications, implementation, enhancement, and estimated work effort

  • Independently fulfilling reporting and analytical requests from end users

  • Troubleshoots and problem-solving of reporting and analytics tools

  • Conceptualize, design, and conduct new processes for internal and external data customers by data visualization and reporting.

  • Displays creativity and critical thinking in solving problems and the ability to quickly comprehend new processes

  • Set up standardized self-service and subscription-based clinical reports to support clinical and operational leaders' oversight.

  • Managing assigned tasks related to reporting, data, and analytics issues, maintaining a high standard of service for all end-user requests

  • Provides updates for and participates as needed in weekly status calls with customers that include review of requests processed, pending requests, and issues resolved.

  • Deliver accurate and complete information under strict deadlines.

  • Active participation in the advancement of PPNorCal's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion commitment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or 5 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years Epic reporting experience with Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer and Cogito

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Health care Operations or Informatics (clinical, business, or education)
  • Epic certifications in Epic Clarity and Epic Cogito

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong technical skills including PC and Microsoft Office Suite, and intermediate level skills in Excel.

Pay Range: Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) supports California's new law (SB 1162) enhancing pay transparency. This new law requires employers with 15 or more employees to include a pay range in job postings. The pay range reflects the compensation that a new employee can expect to receive if offered employment. Employees with more experience, education, and other qualifying factors may be compensated at a higher rate of pay. The pay range for this position is: $95,000 - $100,000 annualized salary.
