Under general direction, responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting. This position will serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes. This includes data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support. Participates in application deployment and procedure documentation. Ensures that the software build meets organizational goals and external mandates such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use. Has technical knowledge of own application and understand connections and collaborates with other applications and technical teams. Under supervision may act as project coordinator for medium sized projects with medium budgets that may or may not have system-wide implications.

Key Accountabilities

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, as assigned, both major and minor. These duties may change over time and may need some supervision, guidance, or coaching from the Program Specialist, Manager, or Lead Analyst.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage stakeholder expectations by analyzing expectations and requirements.

  • Work independently to identify project issues and risks and resolve or escalate as appropriate.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete tasks.

  • Lead or actively participate in meetings.

  • Participate in several projects at one time.

  • Technical Duties:

  • Provide recognized knowledge of product features, functionality and utilization of the application software.

  • Monitor system effectiveness and/or performance to determine if there are any potential problems, report critical findings to peers and/or manager and resolve moderate problems.

  • Participate in disaster recovery initiatives.

  • Review and test changes, interfaces, data conversion, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.

  • Customer Service:

  • Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.

  • Provide 24/7 support when scheduled.

  • Resolve or triage support calls as applicable.

  • Develops/Maintains Team Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain test scripts to reflect proposed workflow solutions.

  • Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.

  • Maintain documentation on the organization's file share platform.

IV. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and two years' related experience, or two years' direct experience in lieu of a degree. Appropriate certification or licensure (if applicable) required.

Some travel is required. Evening and weekend work is required from time to time.
