We are searching for an Electrophysiology Technologist for a full-time position, responsible for assists in all procedures performed in the EP area.
The EP Technologist requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care and should demonstrate an expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X-ray equipment trouble-shooting skills, analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab, and performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
The EP Technologist demonstrates the ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing. Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication.
Meets eligibility criteria for CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCES certification examination as follows: Graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science (Cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing and one year full time work experience in EP RCES or RCIS required within 12 months of hire)
Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology, radiology, nursing program with current RN licensure or Associate degree or baccalaureate degree in a clinically related health science field such as Respiratory Therapy.
Basic Cardiac Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 3 months of hire
RCES or RCIS or
If not RCIS, RCES, then must be eligible to take the credentialing examination and obtain RCIS or RCES within 12 months of hire.
