Electrophysiology Tech / EP Technologist -

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Radiology required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred.

• RT(R) ARRT Required

• Cardiac Rhythm interpretation and arrhythmia identification proficiency

• Current BLS from the AHA or ARC

What You Will Do:

• Primarily responsible for scrubbing and monitoring EP cases.

• Utilization of computers for clinical interpretation of data and assist with the delivery of patient care given during all Cardiac Invasive Procedures.

• EP technologists assist an Electrophysiologist during diagnostic and invasive procedures including programmed electrical stimulation, sterile scrub technique, electro-anatomical 3D mapping, catheter ablation for cardiac arrhythmias, and device implantation for cardiac rhythm management such as pacemakers and other advanced implantable devices.

• Operation of computers to derive complex data for determination of patient cardiac status. May be cross-trained or assigned other duties as indicated.
