Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a number of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Test Engineers to support a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location. The EO/IR Test Engineer will utilize knowledge of commercial & military EO/IR systems to conduct design, development and testing of electrical systems and sensors. The selected candidate will work within a test and evaluation team for a variety of Federal Government related programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct EO/IR requirements definition, design, modeling, analysis and testing of EO/IR systems and components for a variety of military/commercial applications

  • Apply general engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and/or evaluate systems

  • Lead development of test procedures, and instrumentation to collect required data within test plan constraints

  • Develop and execute performance verification testing of EO/IR systems, working with unique test facilities and equipment

  • Provide engineering expertise in EO/IR sensors and systems in the areas of system design and integration

  • Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards for active optical systems

  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation

  • Develop and utilize data processing tools to perform data analysis and provide data to customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited course of study, ABET preferred

  • 5 years professional engineering experience conducting electrical system design, development, and testing

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications

  • 8 years professional engineering experience conducting electrical system design, development, and testing

  • Prior experience supporting DoD aircraft and/or weapons systems

  • Experience with test software (e.g. LabVIEW)

Summary The MIL Corporation seeks a number of Radar Test Engineers to support a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location. The Radar Test Engineer will utilize knowledge of radar phenomenology, including hardware components, signal processing techniques, antenna design, modeling, and simulation to support both ground based and airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) radars. The selected candidate will work within a test and evaluation team for a variety of Federal Government related programs. Responsibilities * Lead a team in gathering and analyzing requirements for test and evaluation of Radar systems and sensors * Lead the development of test procedures, and instrumentation to collect required data within test plan constraints * Insure that test logs are created, and help prepare test reports, document problem reports, and archive data * Perform Radar system hardware/software troubleshooting * Develop and utilize data processing tools to perform data analysis and provide data to customers * Provide Radar Engineering support for various systems; such as wide-area ground moving target indicator (GMTI), dismount moving target indicator (DMTI) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) * Lead the evaluation of proposed radar solutions, algorithms, and techniques * Participate in weekly project and engineering meetings to review project progress and issues Required Qualifications * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited course of study, ABET preferred * 5 years professional engineering experience with radar signal processing and RF design * Experience with supporting radar test and evaluation both in simulated and live environments * Experience with radar modeling and simulation * Experience with MATLAB or radar simulation software * Experience with radar architectures and overseeing the design of radar systems and components Desired Qualifications * Prior experience supporting DoD aircraft and/or weapons systems * Excellent technical management and communication required to oversee execution and technical accuracy Education BS/MS Clearance All applicants for this position must possess a Secret clearance.
