Environmental Test Technician

Description:

Location: Crown Point, IN Responsibilities: Perform third-party EPA air emissions testing and monitoring for clients (typically industrial or manufacturing sites) Transport equipment to site using company vehicle, set up and break down of testing equipment Record data, collect samples Equipment calibrations Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures Environmental, health and safety protocols Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs Maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment Using company resources, study for and obtain certifications for EPA Test Methods 1-5

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma required. 1+ year of experience in a field testing/maintenance, industrial, or physical labor role. Candidates must be open to regional travel out to client sites each week (staying overnight in hotels) as a primary function of the job B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related preferred Previous experience working in a field-based / hands-on position Team player Mechanical aptitude Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs to set up testing equipment
