We are currently seeking a Environmental Technician to join our growing team!

Position Overview:

The Environmental Technician is responsible for completing daily field service activities which include emergency response, hazardous waste handling & cleanup, and site remediation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment and tools in a safe manner in accordance with Company policies and guidelines

  • Perform remediation services which include storage tank cleaning, industrial cleaning & maintenance, environmental site remediation, vacuum truck services, and demolition/dismantlement

  • Perform strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects

  • Maintain on-call availability to perform emergency response services including the cleanup of hazardous/non-hazardous waste spills, disaster response and recovery, and waste management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • Work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures

  • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Willing to travel out of town on short notice for weeks or months at a time

  • Ability to respond to environmental emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.

The successful selectee will perform the following duties: * Manages all environmental programs at the Camp, including day to day environmental oversight, planning, conservation, and restoration, in a manner that ensures the Camp is conforming to ISO 14001 as a part of the Navy's Environmental Management System (EMS). * Manages hazardous waste handling, spill response, EV sampling and testing, drinking water, and waste water, in accordance with all applicable requirements and laws. * Ensures compliance with environmental regulations, standards, and procedures, in accordance with U.S. and Host Nation laws. * Conducts routine inspections of tenant commands to investigate compliance with applicable standards for water and wastewater, air, above-ground and underground storage tanks, spill prevention, clean-up actions, waste management, and natural/cultural resources. * Works with supported commands to resolve issues related to compliance or differing regulatory interpretations.
