Job Description SUMMARY
The Environmental Technician position is responsible for providing the field work necessary to collect data for report preparation by the Asbestos/Lead Administrative Assistant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for conducting field operations including but not limited to sample gathering, data collection, job specific condition evaluations, and on-site project management. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS

This job requires attention to detail, ability to work independently or within a small group, and a working knowledge of PC applications. (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word,). The individual must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel. The individual must be physically capable of climbing ladders, crawling in tight quarters, carrying moderate weight equipment, and be able to pass a pulmonary function test for required PPE (respirator with HEPA filter).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. This position requires that the individual be capable of qualifying for the LDEQ certifications in the disciplines asbestos and lead. These certifications may include but are not limited to asbestos supervisor, asbestos inspector and lead inspector.
