What You'll Do

As an Environmental Technician, you understand the true meaning of hard work. You are smart, strong, and willing to get dirty. You have responsibilities both out in the field monitoring field activities, gathering samples and directing subcontractors as well as in the office classifying samples, preparing field reports and boring/sample logs, preparing/shipping laboratory samples and assisting project managers with report preparation. Your trained eye helps you write effective field reports that management is proud to hand to a client. You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • Sampling and assessments of soil, groundwater, air and other materials

  • Observing and documenting field activities

  • Assessments on asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint and mold

  • Using field screening equipment and documenting readings

  • Phase I ESA studies and other projects

  • Working with GIS/GPS (a big plus)

  • Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians and project managers

  • Writing clear field reports of site activities each day

  • Assisting with report production

What We're Looking For

  • 0 - 3 years related experience

  • BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology or a related discipline a definite plus

  • OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training would go a long way

  • Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed

The Automotive Technician performs car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights, and some holidays depending on business demand. This starts at $23.25/ HR plus performance bonuses. Responsibilities * Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines. * Complete required manufacturer's training and perform warranty and recall repairs. * Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training. * Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair. * Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance. * Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures. * Utilize multiple manufacturers' websites, software and diagnostic tools. * May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs. * Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition. * Requires ability to perform manual labor, such as, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time * Moderate physical activity which requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking * Perform related duties as required. Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles required. * High School Diploma / G.E.D. preferred. * 4 current and valid ASE certifications required. * Must have driver's license for at least one year. * Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record in the last 5 years) criminal, employment reference, education and social security. A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you for employment, rather, such factors as age and date of conviction, seriousness and nature of the crime, and rehabilitation will be considered.
