Responsibilities

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Mechanical/Technical

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electronics, gauges and mechanical instruments

  • Computer background, familiarity with spreadsheets, data input

  • Ability to read, understand, and execute technical SOP's (Standard operation protocols)

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organized, detail oriented and possess excellent problem solving capabilities.

  • Good time management capabilities and able to meet deadlines.

  • Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly.

  • Dedication to supporting goals, objectives, and philosophies of ALS. Able to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%. Look for new ways to accomplish objectives.

  • English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients, staff and management.

  • Multi-tasked, organized, detail oriented, and possesses problem solving capabilities; will have good time management capabilities.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work independently.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities:

Conduct field checks, audits, surveys and update as built exhaust and drain systems drawings.

  • Required to map /survey the source of contamination of exhaust or drain upsets.

  • Verify chemical usage and disposal data for tooling as required by Air Permit or Regulations Federal, State, and Corporate.

  • Senior Technicians will maintain emission inventory data based on chemical usage.

  • Perform Stack Emissions Tests in accordance with established protocols.

  • Perform fugitive emission surveys for virgin solvent supply and waste solvent systems.

  • Determine and quantify all disposal routes for each chemical.

  • Certifiable for opacity monitoring, per USEPA method 9.

  • AutoCAD knowledge a plus.

  • Technician will support collection of samples, prepare reagents/standards for use in air monitoring test methods.

  • Technicians are expected to conform to established safety and security regulations and housekeeping procedures and to maintain facility cleanliness.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, or Technical Field or experience in lieu of a Degree and/or at least 5 years relevant experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Current Driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to operate company vehicle.

  • Knows the region and able to read maps.

  • Able to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%. Look for new ways to accomplish objectives.

  • English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients, staff and management.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed; able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone;

  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers, Department team members, management, and clients.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis (may request and use a dolly for situations requiring heavy loads).

  • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate vehicle, computer and other equipment.

  • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and office equipment.

  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers, Department team members, management, and clients.

  • Able to sit, drive, and walk for 100% of an 8 hour day.

  • Must be able to drive and get in and out of vehicle.

  • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate vehicle, office equipment.

  • Will be required to work in all weather conditions throughout the year.

  • Overtime as needed.

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-20T00:00 MSR-FSR Engineering Services is actively seeking Level I-III Semiconductor Equipment Technicians for our team in Hopewell Junction, NY Responsibilities: * Performs on-site service and repair of etch semiconductor processing equipment * Troubleshoots equipment problems * Maintains records and reports as required * Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions * Orders and installs parts * Responds to emergency service calls as required * Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed * Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials * Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. * Employees must also maintain acceptable standards of conduct to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s) * Schedule will be varied and may include compressed work week and nights or weekend schedule Qualifications: * Minimum of an associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study desired but not required * 2+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment * Etch experience on the following equipment highly desired, but not required; LAM Exelan/Flex/Flex45/Kiyo/ Versys Metal or Axcelis Es3/Integra * Other etch experience will be considered with favor to experience with wet cleans and troubleshooting experience * Excellent customer interface skills is required * High mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools * Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required This is position is potential contract to perm.
