Environmental Technician

Description:

Perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater, building materials, and noise. Operates field monitoring equipment.

Assists with operation and maintenance of remediation systems. May assist with asbestos surveys, abatement projects and Phase I preliminary site assessments. Transport material samples or documents to the lab for further testing and analysis.

Tabulate and prepare data for written reports. Cleans and maintains field monitoring equipment.

Adhere to strict safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; B.S. in Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Scientist preferred Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products Good written communication skills with the ability to type reports Overnight travel may periodically be required Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history Required inspector certifications in asbestos, lead, radon, and/or mold; or the ability to obtain these certifications The ability to obtain a Jessica Lunsford Act badge for work conducted in K-12 facilities
