Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Environmental Technician and play a pivotal role in performing tests and sampling of asbestos, building materials, and various environmental media. You will assist with asbestos, mold, and other industrial hygiene surveys and abatement/remediation projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting work in support of and preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments as well as preparing data for written reports. A key aspect of your role will be to adhere to strict safety standards to ensure both personal and public safety.

Hard Skills

• B.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related science field with 1 year of relevant professional experience OR High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with asbestos abatement projects

• CT Asbestos Inspector/CT Asbestos Project Monitor certificates or willingness to obtain them

Soft Skills

• Strong commitment to safety

• Ability to adhere to strict safety standards

• Willingness to travel as needed

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based, requiring travel throughout Connecticut and occasionally into Massachusetts. You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team that is dedicated to providing environmental and building science services. Our team is composed of professionals located in offices across New England, including our corporate office in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and regional offices in Maine, New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
