Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position serves as the field level team member assisting with environmental compliance applicable to company operations. The position supports the Kinetik assets including the gas plants, compressor stations, crude system, water system and the associated gathering systems. This position will assist operations in achieving Kinetik ES&H goals with respect to environmental compliance in our operations. A proven ability to solve problems, learn new material, adapt to change and be an effective communicator are key traits to success in this position. This position reports to the Director of Environmental Compliance
Assist management, operations, and project/maintenance teams as required to assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate rules and regulations pertaining to operational environmental aspects and impacts
Assist with organizing, planning, implementing, and auditing the environmental programs for the operation, ensuring compliance as required by regulatory agencies and corporate policy
Ensure compliance with Title V operating permits, Minor Source Construction permits, and General Construction permits, including the preparation of semiannual reports and annual compliance certifications
Ensure compliance with permits by aiding Environmental Specialists in monitoring and recordkeeping
Ensure compliance with wastewater permits and site water, including the oversight of sample collection, the labs used for analysis, the preparation and submission of DMR data, management of required written plans, and the reporting of noncompliance
Assist with waste and remediation activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, including the manifests, regulatory reporting, and record keeping
Assist with the review of MOC's for environmental impacts, regarding LDAR programs, and delivering necessary information to third party monitoring services
Ensure compliance with SPCC requirements and assist with spill response and remediation activities, as needed, including the facilitation of required reporting to applicable parties, including the TCEQ, EPA, and/or RRC
Oversee third party remediation crews ensuring safe work and proper methods in the field
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, including but not limited to reporting releases to all applicable agencies and internal personnel
Assist with being point of contact for LDAR contractors, remediation contractors, and some other third parties
Assist with compliance audits, as needed, and assist in facilitating resolution of action items from findings of reviews and inspections
Maintain a working knowledge of existing issues that affect the plant/compressor station/ pipeline site.
Communicate regular updates on ES&H releases, status of leak repairs, and remediation status to the Director of Environmental Compliance for Operations management meetings
Ability to learn and comprehend the operating principles of natural gas compression and natural gas processing facilities
Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding leak repair, remediation, and waste handling in the field
Regular and reliable attendance is required

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in an area of Environmental study or an engineering discipline
Ability to lead a small team of laborers to accomplish daily goals
2 years of experience in an oil and gas related field of operations, maintenance or EHS position.
Experience and certification in Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) and other gas detection methods
Experience in gathering data and organizing data;
Strong written and verbal communication;
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
Ability to understand and follow directions
Maintain discretion and confidentiality
Good time management and organizational skills
Computer knowledge (MS Office)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
Maintain a valid driver's license; drive to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of working outside in the field
Live within a 150-mile radius of company facilities
