Mott MacDonald is seeking an environmental specialist to support a major transport and tunnel design-build proposal and project in southeast Virginia. The role will primarily consist of providing support for environmental permitting, hazardous materials management and permit compliance aspects of the overall projects. The position will include tasks to ensure that construction of a major project goes ahead with the appropriate level of due diligence; taking into consideration regulations of appropriate agencies. Additional responsibilities will include:
Reviewing designs to suggest modifications, as appropriate, and to work collaboratively based on conditions and construction activities.
Performance of onsite environmental inspections, collection of environmental samples (soil, sediment, groundwater, etc.), oversight of field activities.
Preparation of technical reports and documentation.
