Environmental Services Technician# # SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for ensuring a safe, clean, attractive environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is required to perform the following: Able to walk and remain in confined environment with sustained standing for extended periods during occasional lengthy surgeries.# Able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, reach, grasp, and able to lift 50 pounds of more multiple times throughout shift using proper body mechanics.# Able to push and/or pull 100 pounds multiple times throughout the shift using proper body mechanics.# Able to tolerate caps, hoods, and all personal protective equipment.# Able to work with a variety of chemicals required in the care of peri-operative patients.# Acuity to the five senses is required in the contact with patients, physicians, co-workers, visitors and families.# Able to remain calm in stressful situations and respond quickly.
