Environmental Services Tech Surgical

Performs tasks essential to maintaining a safe and clean environment for surgical patients and staff.# Maintains a clean and sterile environment in surgical areas, including operating rooms, recovery and pre-operative areas by following established procedures and protocols. Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum Work Experience Prior work experience in the environmental services field preferred. Experience working in sterile/infection control environment desirable. Required Licenses/Certifications D.O.T. hazardous material certification or ability to obtain. C.S.C.T. (Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician thru AHE) * *Or obtain with 12 months of hire. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Working knowledge of AORN and AHE cleaning and disinfecting best practices and ability to put into practice. Good communication skills Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Time management skills Ability to innovate new methods of service delivery. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations without evidence to patients and visitors. Demonstrated Moderate knowledge of basic computer skills. Ability to physically perform tasks as indicated by successful completion of functional testing. Pay Range: $16.60 - $24.65
