Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full time Environmental Services Tech on evening shift (1pm - 9:30pm), every 5th weekend.

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to carry out all essential duties and responsibilities with normal supervision. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.Some duties include: Performs a variety of custodial and housekeeping duties, maintains desired standards of cleanliness, sanitation and appearance, leads cleaning activities in assigned areas, participates in staff development and training within the department.

Maintains desired standards of cleanliness, sanitation and appearance•Leads cleaning activities in assigned areas a member of the work team.•Participates in staff development and training within the department.•Participates in moving activities on assigned moves as a member of the work team.•Participates in cleaning activities on assigned projects as a member of the work team.

Performs a variety of hard and carpet floor care•Strips and refinishes hard floor surfaces according to departmental procedures.•Dry mops, wet mop, and burnish floors according to departmental procedures.•Extracts and cleans carpet while utilizing a variety of carpet cleaning equipment.•Completes cleaning of floors with detail attention to baseboards, corners and edges.•Cleans and stores equipment at the completion of the shift.

Performs all duties of ESD Aid 1•Cleans patient rooms including discharges according to departmental procedures.•Cleans patient and public rest rooms according to departmental procedures.•Infection control standards are maintained through practicing standard precautions.•Collects, transports and deposits all trash including infectious waste following departmental; procedures•Cleans all offices, corridors, exam room and lounges according to departmental procedures.•Cleans other miscellaneous areas of the hospital following departmental procedures.

Qualifications

Preferred

• 1 Year Environmental Services Preferred

• High School Diploma/GED Preferred
