Assembles and transport cleaning supplies, equipment and other material to designated work areas in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Maintains floors, walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Processes general/infectious waste and soiled linen in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Operates all power equipment as dictated by work assignment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Uses equipment, supplies and all other hospital property in a safe and economical manner.
Maintains environmental services equipment, storage rooms and other materials at a high level of cleanliness and in good repair at all times. Utilizes all chemicals and other cleaning agents in accordance with label instructions, established procedures and safety guidelines.
This position is part of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.
Floor care experience strongly preferred. Housekeeping experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Familiar with Joint Commission requirements, chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions, techniques, practices and procedures. Must be able to speak and understand English. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
